I'm about to deploy James into a production environment of about 2 million
users. Not all the users are active but, at any given time, there are about
30,000 users using the system at once. Right now I've chosen to forward the
emails using the forwardDestination column in MySQL. My JBoss application
writes to both a MS SQL table and the MySQL table used by James and the user
emails are duplicated in the James MySQL database. Let's hope all goes well :-?

James now uses DBCP as the connection pool manager, this is the same pool
used by Tomcat so it should be pretty stable.

The only issue we've really noticed is that the queues need an index to
work quickly with a lot of mail, but the index needs rebuilt periodically
(on mysql at least) If not it becomes less and less effective.

Server.

I hope so to! and don't forget to let us know how you get on, good or bad.
We can help celebrate, or help you get back on track..
