Here's what I have found out at the end of the day
I have James running in a complete different folder (JamesNew) w/ the exact same
configs as I had before in the originial installation (JamesOld)
I can not get the instance 'JamesOld' to start (out of memory errors) or if it
does start, to get it to connect to port 25

I can successfully get the instance 'JamesNew' to start. I have not
increased the amount of memory available .

I am still in the dark as to this bizzare behaviour.
I'll try to zip up the folders and do a compare to see
if I can find anything different
