I unzipped the file in my server folder in C:/server then james and when
i try to run the run.bat file from the bin i get that message and i have
not found anything that would help. I may be overlooking something though.

WARN 2007-09-03 20:20:02.093 [Phoenix ] (): Phoenix was not started

there are not any applications in the apps directory.
Where did you install it?
How do you run it?
2 tests:
1) try running it via run.bat in the bin folder
2) try to decompress it in a path without spaces and run from there.

I know this has probably been discussed but i am having an issue
installing james on windows. I don't have any error message but i am
unable to get the configuration to send emails any help
there is a #james-folder#/apps/james/log folder. Clean up the folder,
start james, send a single mail, look at the logs content.
If the logs do not tell you anything you understand just copy and paste
here the content of your spoolrepository*, mailet* and smtpserver* logs,
and we'll read them.
