David, I'm no lawyer but... yeah, this sounds OK, you have to leave our licence intact, but the GPL "viral" clause will affect the whole distribution.
You just have to make sure your users understand that James is Apache licence but that your mailet is GPL'ed, which means the GPL applies to your whole distribution. Might be nice to make them aware that James is available without such encumbrance from us. As far as we're concerned as long as you leave our licence in place and don't mess with our trademarks you'll pretty much be ok. If you make an honest mistake we're not going to come sue you, not unless you're making loads of money from it, which I'm guessing isn't going to be the case. d.
