I have been seeing a similar problem with my thunderbird client when popping mail, it has been timing out more often then not when popping mail.

If I look at the pop3server log I don't see the connection request. I am wondering if I can use at telenet client or some other approach to get more information.

Thank you in advance for your feedback and comments.
