To avoid the mail going to relay denied you should be able to use the following in the mailetcontainer.conf right where RemoteDelivery is/was.

<mailet match="All" class="Null"/>

This should cause any emails that get this far in the transport processor to be ghosted (dropped on the floor)

Thanks Phillip! It seems it does work.

I had to rename "mailetcontainer-template.conf" to
"mailetcontainer.conf" and remove/comment "remotedelivery mailet".

I have another question, I see this message on James that when I try to
send mail, it is being stored in relay-denied, does that mean whenever
someone try to send message, it will be just stored there and I need to
monitor and cleanup that file time to time?

Thank you,

If you remove/comment out the remotedelivery mailet in
conf/mailetcontainer.conf and restart james that should do the trick.

        Hi All,

        Can someone please guide me?

How can I disable outgoing emails from James?

I understood that James use "RemoteDelivery" mailet to handle
        out going
SMTP, but not sure how to disable this.

        Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time and help.

        Thank you,
        Giri
