- tidied the repository: deleted all files that can be rebuilt by autotools
- tidied the repository: deleted deprecated 'rpm' folder (is now in
'maintainer/rpm')
- fixed the PNG images from the documentation (got a message "libpng error: PNG
file corrupted by ASCII conversion" when executing "make pdf" before)
