Glad it works for you. But i do not really understand why running the bash script does not work. I also have cygwin and it works fine for me.

I am so so sorry!. This is entirely my mistake. Since, I have cygwin in my path, when I run 'servicemix servicemix.xml', it ends up calling the shell 'servicemix' , instead of the servicemix.bat.
