It's been about 2 years since I took the ORACLE systems adim course but
I can clear recall that with each "embedded" sql statement called from
a program must be "COMPLIED" and syntax check, "pre-processing", before
execution. As an example, if you send "select * from users" and "Select
* from
users" , each one of theses statement must be compiled then executed,
even
for the change of select to Select.

Also, if you used "embedded" sql how do you use things like primary keys
i.e. UserId
during new inserts with out jumping thur hoops with multi-selects?
