Not to drag this out, but I wanted to offer my $.02.
It looks like "jon *" has contributed quite a bit of
interesting/useful stuff in terms of open source servlet-related
code/packages. And yes, if someone has a question about how something
works, it is not too difficult to get the code and look at the source.
On the other hand, I think Chris'? questions here were very
reasonable, and don't really deserve a "check out the source yourself"
response. Unfortunately, despite the benefits, it is not always
possible/practical to download a package before knowing something
about it and how it works. And, to some extent, jon has been
"proselytizing" with his code :-), and asking for more information is
in line with that.
Personally, I as yet have not had the opportunity/need to check out
jon's packages, although I do plan to at some point.
