>From what I understand, Microsoft Access is not really a SQL database, so it
may not conform to the SQL Standards.  It's a navigational database that is
made to look like a relational database by the Jet engine that Microsoft
uses for their ODBC system.  ResultSet.previous(), and ResultSet.absolute(4)
are JDBC 2.0 calls, which aren't going to be supported by the JDBC 1.0
driver that you have for MS Access.  I guess, unless you can find an method
specific to MS Access, the only way to do it is to run through the ResultSet
and count them up.
