My 2c.
I vote in favor of switching the list from LISTSERV to an NNTP server. The
NNTP server could still be hosted sun.com (i.e. not part of comp.lang.)
so it wouldn't necessarily attract more people than the current list.
NNTP has got to be more reliable than the LISTSERV web interface and you
could use any number of standard news reading clients from multiple locations.
