I don't believe that using JavaMail would be "reinventing the wheel" ...
It's just that our current implementation was done prior to the
availability of
JavaMail. I thought the least intrusive approach would be to replace
the
"mail sender" object I referenced below. So I have 2 choices .... write
it
myself using JavaMail, or research commercial availability. Would then
tradeoff the value of my time (download and install JavaMail and JAF,
learn
the API, and develop the object) versus the price of the commercial
alternative.
And if a commercial alternative does exist that already leverages the
JavaMail API, then that's the wheel I would be re-inventing ...
