Input on Servlet Lecture

I am in the process of putting together a lecture for our company IS department on the use of Java servlets. One of the topics I wish to cover is the contrast between servlets and other web development methodologies. I would like to ask the listers for some feedback or web sites to get input on the differences between servlets and   The standard CGI interface. Active Server Pages (ASP).
