I used Visual J++ for the same reason, but I didn't use the MS VM
or compiler. I made some custom buttons to compile (javac) or run
(java) my code.
Now I use HomeSite, because I had some problems with the way
MicroSoft treats cases and newlines (especially when writing
PERL code).
But as is allready said: any other text editor will do.
There isn't much 'Visual' about Servlets...
