Title: RE: timed servlet actions

One way you might do it is setup a thread that sleep()s.

But another way is to abstract this and make it event driven. That way, you could make your servlet fire an email based on a number of things. See java.util.Observable.

Subject: timed servlet actions

hi,

I developed a servlet that sends and receives email using JavaMail.  My
question is how can I set up my servlet to automatically call my "Receive"
method every 5 minutes?  Or can I just reload the servlet every 5 minutes?
Is this possible?  If so, what is the best way.

Duke
