You could have a Java SMTP server to recieve the replies in the first
place.

The server would probably have to run on a server with no email on it
already. It would then pick up the email as it came in.

I have a very simple SMTP server written in Java if you're
interested. It's part of a GNU project so the licence requires it to
be freely available.
