If the servlet produces HTML pages on port 80 that should work fine. If you are
communicating with the servlet on port 8007, you'll not get through the firewall,
which is likely to just allow HTTP on port 80.
The optional parameters in the HTTP header controlling caching,proxies,ect. not
considered.
