In fact, it would probably be worthwhile to go to
http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/
and just search for '390', then scan the page for 'java', 'db' and so
on.
While some may view this as off topic or too specific, the IBM Redbooks
site is a great resource for general database, java and other topics. While
most of it is geared towards specific IBM platforms, there is a loot of
widely applicable info. Redbooks are generally written by practitioners in
the field on specific topics.
