How is it possible to put the DB and web server on the same box, behind the
firewall? The config I'm refferring to is as follows:
---Internet-----
|
|
--Firewall-----|--server farm
|
--intranet------|--DB Server
This way the Db and Web Server are physically seperated from one anohter. If
I were compomise your web server, I may be able to put some nudey pages up,
but I would not have access to you DB data as well.
If you know another way(or a better way) to secure you database, I'm always
open to advice. I'll never know everything.
