Re: pop3 servlet problem with Apache and JServ

Make sure the mail.jar file is in the classpath of your servlet engine or
webserver. If you're using JWS you can put it in $server_home/classes and it
should be able to find it without a restart. The 404 occurs because it's
probably trying to init() the servlet but failing when it can't import
javax.mail.*, hence you're accessing something that doesn't exist (a non-running
servlet).

| I have downloaded and JavaMail package with pop3 provider  and JAF from Suns
| site. I tested it with the given msgshow example and it is working ok. But
| when I try to write a servlet to get mail from a POP3 server, it gives HTTP
