Nice to see other people chiming in like this this time :-).

Here's a suggestion: When responding to a post on the list, think
about whether you want to respond to the entire list or just the
original poster.  I think there are many situations where responding
just to the poster is more appropriate -- e.g. when the question is
off-topic; when the question is basic, so there are likely to be many
people responding; when the response is just a "me too" kind of thing
like here.  Note that this list (as many are) is set up so that the
default is for responses to go to the entire list; however, most
"modern" mailers should allow you to override that, and respond just
to the poster.  This is another way we can be courteous and help keep
list traffic down.
