Dear Moloy,
you have asked this question a couple of times now I think and you
received no answers so far. The same goes for other questions aired by
some other list-participants. The reason is simple and I do not mean to
offend you or any other person:
your questions are even beyond FAQ simplicity. They mean that you have not
taken the trouble to view the "readme" files, or the simplest HTML
documentation that comes with the software you downloaded. You could see
there at least three alternative ways that Sun suggests for servlet
calling, with examples written by the creators!
Now, I do not believe you (or anybody else) did this on purpose to offend
us, so please accept my well-meaning advice as coming from someone that
has been interacting with lists for a few more years. Let's all try to ask
questions that go a little bit beyond the minimum effort required by
ourselves.
Some people show up asking 'where can I find out more info on servlets' or
'where can I download code examples (in general)' and it seems they do not
take the trouble looking at the foot of EVERY message on the list that has
URLs for these questions exactly!
Of course, it is a different story to ask a question like 'where can I see
some code for running a Julian/Hegiran calendar converter on a servlet?'
Simple questions are even OK when they include some code-snippet and they
treat the people on the list like 'the colleague down the hall' whom you
would ask for a second look to spot your error.
Let me clarify that I simply speak my mind, I am no moderator of this
list, and my sole intention is to assist in saving bandwidth and time for
everyone. Again, I do not mean to offend, only to offer a viable list use
that will not have everybody processing hundreds of e-mails per day.
Thank you for your time and apologies for the slightly off-topic issues
raised,
Kostas
