Serialization is generally I/O.
Sending the request from one system to another system. This request is done
using marshalling. It is something like encoding. If the client wants to
execute a function from some other program, marshalling used (In different
systems). This marshalling occurs in Out-process or in Remote process.
Out-process is EXE communicating with the other EXE file. Remote process if one
application communicating with the other application residing in different
computer.

Persistence is longer availability. Something like static.
