see, MOS if you want best speed in Java then you have to use native calls and call the DLLs.
You can save memory and as well as your programms will work faster.
you have not set the proper class path ! Use NT as for my better suggestion ! It will not crash accidently as 98/95 !
And you can start WEB services automatically by registering the services in control panel of WIN NT !

Hi all,
I need to get up to speed on Java at work and seem to be getting my fair share worth of bruises as I try to get up to speed.
I am trying to double my efforts by configuring my home machine so that I can develop there also. Although I have gone through the same motions of downloading the SDK, JDK, and the JSWDK, I cannot seem to compile a simple 'HelloWorld' servlet. (I am able to compile the same servlet at work). The best I can tell is that I need to add something to my class path in the 'Autoexec.bat' file, but I don't know what.
I am at work right now, so I cannot share my exact class path, but, from memory, I know I include at least the following:
C:\jdk1.2.2\lib\tools.jar;C:\javamail-1.1.2\mail.jar;C:\jaf-1.0.1\activation.jar;
The error has something to do with not being able to find javax files related to the HttpServlet. Can anyone lend any insight into a possible solution, or do I need to provide more info first??
