It was clarified a while back that product announcements are
perfectly ok. Spamming is not ok, advertising (admittedly a
very fine line) is not really ok, and off-topic posts on non
servlet (or servlets-list) related questions are not ok. But
product announcements like the one for the servlets course are
just fine.
So there is absolutely no need for an apology, and I would
encourage you to continue to post.
