Yes, you can determine what browser the user is using. There is a header
that every browser sends to the server called "user-agent" that is fairly
unique amongst all browsers. An example entry would be "Mozilla/4.7 [en]
(X11; U; SunOS 5.7 sun4u". I do believe, tho, that nearly every browser
sends that first "Mozilla" piece in order to be compatible with older sites
that tried to be "netscape-only" compatible.
