The past is POLUTION and WASTE, the future is smart and light !
> Surely everyone has access to mail programs that can read html?
You don't know anything about Internet : I'm reading my mail from many
places and don't want to download 800 emails just each time I want to
read one of them or to see if I receved a new one, therefore I'm using
PINE. To have access to, and to want is not the same.

I, and most people at universities are reading their mail in PINE/elm/mutt
