I want to personally thank you for the effort you've put into outlining the
problems developers face with character encoding, and some suggestions for what
to do about it. As you may be aware, the next version of the servlet
specification is currently being created under the Java Community Process
(JSR-053). I have forwarded your comments to the specification leads so that
these issues can be reviewed.
