Try a '%20' instead of the space.
It's the converted version.

Hello,
We have an url that refers to a folder name with space character in it.
Example the url is somewhat like this
http://myhost.com/space dir/index.html
I get a 404 error from the webserver saying it cant locate the file. I
also tried putting a '+' character in url. It dint work.
like this :
http://myhost.com/space+dir/index.html
Anybody there ?
