We had IIS3 running fine without using the port number. Then, because of
another web based application on the server having problems, it was
suggested we upgrade to IIS4. Then, none of my Servlets worked. But, as you
state, adding the port number fixed the problem. I just commented out the
old FORM ACTION tags in hopes of finding the solution.
Not any help but I am looking for the solution, also.

Subject: servlets / IIS4
ok, simple question... I have installed the jsdk2.1 package on our web
server. All the instructions that I can find (including the readme) skirt
around the issue of IIS serving the servlets... I've run the startserver
command and got that part running without any problems... ie. I can run the
servlets connecting to http://localhost:8080/ and running the included
examples... which to my understanding is just running against the java
servlet server.
my question is: is this the best I can do? as in, will I always have to
specify the port of this server or is there anyway that I can run a servlet
and have it accessed through the web servers public directory..?
any advice or material regarding servlets and IIS that may help is
appreciated.
