I am using the fillowing:
Red Hat 6.2
Apache Server - latest version.
Tomcat 3.1
AlphaWorks Beta of JDK 1.3
For some reason when I build a project, the code in /src does not get
compiled - the resultant expected class files do not appear in the
/webapp/zzz/WEB-INF/classes directory. There is a message stating that
the 'modern compile' has taken place. (This message generates when JDK
1.3 is detected, according to my expedition into the Javac.java source
of Ant.)
The strange part of this is no error messages are generated when I run
the build script. However, error messages will appear if resources
cannot be found, or for syntax problems.
I can compile the java source from the command line, no problem. In
fact, after I send this message, I intend to see if build will properly
distribute the compiled class files...and see if my build actually
works.
