It is *very* misleading to believe that cookies are any "safer" than URL
rewriting with regards to peeping. Anyone who has a network snooping
utility on
your network can easily see everything you send back and forth to the
server,
including your cookies and all your form input values -- whether it is
visible
to someone sitting at the browser or not.
