there is a difference between the name a servlet is registered under and the
directory it is located in on most servers.
check the properties file where your servlets are registered and that is
probably where you'll see "servlet" instead of "servlets". to change how
your servlets are accessed change the properties file. should be
instructions in a readme file.

Subject: Beginner's question: servlet vs servlets
When I place a servlet class file, I put it under
"servlets" directory. But to run it, I have to type
"servlet", then servlet name
ie., .../servlet/<servlet-name> and if i type
"servlets" accidentally, i get an error. If I want to
change this one to as I like, which is the right file
to do?
Thanks
Sri
