Hi,
If u r using the Java webserver :-
"servlet" is the servlet alias to a servlet called
"invoker".
U can change the name to whatever u want, using the admin
tool to the server.
(Take the servlet alias from the web service option of the
main screen)
If the server is some thing else :-
as some body else said,
it can be a virtual path, and u can very well cahange it.

Subject: Beginner's question: servlet vs servlets
When I place a servlet class file, I put it under
"servlets" directory. But to run it, I have to type
"servlet", then servlet name
ie., .../servlet/<servlet-name> and if i type
"servlets" accidentally, i get an error. If I want to
change this one to as I like, which is the right file
to do?
Thanks
Sri
