I have been using JDK1.3 from IBM on Linux and JDK1.3 from SUN on Windows2000 for
some time. They are not compatible. I am able to use a jar file generated on
Linux with Sun's JDK1.3 on Win2k but NOT the other way! I am also having a native
file I/O problem with the IBM version when using one of the Apache XML-Soap
Samples on Linux (It works correctly on Win2k). I believe that SUN has a Linux
1.3beta out. I am planning to switch to that.
