Hi,
I want to lock a record of a table
in a database throug servlet-HtmlPage-sevlet
process as following flow:
1. in a beginning page(Html) input query condition
(such as a primary key of a record) then call
2. servletA select(query) the record to display.
lock the record at the same time.return
3. a new page which display the record.edit the
record.press "Update" button,call
4. servletB carry out a transaction to database,
update the record then unlock the record for
other browsers to use this record.
I should keep the lock of a record during 2 and 4,
then unlock it at the end of 4.
the question is can servletA and servletB be the
same servlet?
How can I keep the lock of a record during 2 and 4
since 3 is necessary?
thanks in advance
VictorJ
