[I've done a search of the archives and it looks like
a few people have already asked this question but no
one has given an answer. Hopefully there IS an answer
out there which is why I am sending out this email.
My apologies if I missed any answers floating out in
the archives...]

Is there any way to remove an authorization header
which has been set -- without closing the browser? I
do some authentication via a servlet by sending the
SC_UNAUTHORIZED status, but would like to have a nice
way for people to be able to log out without having to
tell people to close the browser. I know that sending
another "not authorized" and then having the end user
clicking "OK" in the dialog box without the username
and password would get rid of the former login info,
but is there anything more elegant than that?

any ideas would be welcome, no matter how wacky they
are!

Jane
