HI all,
I was trying to use the JDBC driver "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver" in
an applet, but it was just not registering itself with the DriverManager,
for reasons I do not know because the program compiles properly and also
does not throw any exceptions. But when I used Servlets to perform the JDBC
connection and call an Applet, it worked perfectly well . I used
Serialization to pass parameters and values between Applet and Servlet. Can
anybody tell me what the problem could be.

jsdk2.0
sun solaris5.7
