This is so rediculous. What a bunch of sissies! Did you join the mailing
list to get your questions answered without intention of helping anyone else
out? Remember? Thats what this is for. It's give and take!

Moderator, can you remove me from the group A.S.A.P.? Thank you.

ok, I really hate myself for escalating this, but how do you tell if someone
did look hard for stuff and just didn't find it? And does your boss let you
go
out to the bookstore whenever you're unsure of something? Or will he buy
every
book written on Java for you? I know mine won't. And how long is long enough
to
look? I just posted a question about detecting if Javascript was turned on
in a
browser thatI've spent days trying to figure out in java servlets, jsp, and
php... for all I know it could be in "O'reily's book of browser programming"
or
something else I never heard of and I just didn't come accross it.

Anyway, point is that it's hard to say wether someone has really put in time
or
not and, since unneeded messages are so unwelcome here (as I was so
vehemently
assured of when I asked a perl question), perhaps it would be a better
course
of action for the simplest of questions of simply be ignored. That way
they'll
get the hint and at the sametime, noone has to wade through flames.

Just an idea. Oh, and if someone abuses the list with too many poor
questions,
I'm guessing we can count on the moderator to take care of it, since,
ultimately, there's nothing we can do to the poster except yell at him.

ok, I'm done now...
