IMHO, you are using a development/proof-of-concept environment; since you seem to be on WinTel platform, switch to something like iPlanet 4.x with or without Jrun, a one gighertz processor with about a gig of ram, and see if your experience is better. Or switch to a well-supported Unix platform with the same software. Of course, this does cost money, but, regrettably, you frequently get what you pay for. ----- Original Message ----- From: NSB)Hiroshi Kasamatsu <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, January 15, 2001 9:57 PM Subject: Servlets have a bad influence on machine? > I developed a web application using servlet. But sometimes the dos > window of Tomcat3.1 startup is locked and servlet program does not work > right.I don't know why. > I hear that servlet is always on machine's memory .Is this a cause? > Does servlet give high load to machne? > If so,I don't feel like using servlet. > My user naturally complains. > Please tell me the cause and how to deal with it. > > Server OS:Windows 98 > Servlet container:Tomcat3.1 > Tomcat3.1 is in charge of servlet container and Http server. > > > Thanks in advance. > > Hiroshi Kasamatsu > > ___________________________________________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body > of the message "signoff SERVLET-INTEREST". > > Archives: http://archives.java.sun.com/archives/servlet-interest.html > Resources: http://java.sun.com/products/servlet/external-resources.html > LISTSERV Help: http://www.lsoft.com/manuals/user/user.html > ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff SERVLET-INTEREST".
