Hi Sankar -
Green threads are a software implementation of a threading solution on
Solaris (unique to Solaris as far as I know).
Native threads are more tied to the hardware - generally faster and better.
It can make a big difference which kind of threads you use, particularly
when using JNI. YOu can set an environment variable, if you are on unix, to
specify native threads (green threads used to be the default but I"m not
sure if that is still the case or not).
