The answer is yes.
You can use a html page to be a template and mark the place where the data
should go
with comments like <!--begindata-->.
But in this case the servlet will "create" a new page.
Another situation would be like a GuestBook, somebody fills out a form than
a servlet puts a data in the html page and sends a redirect to that html
page.
Check for a template engine like webmacro or freemaker or make one of your
own :)
and the classes in the java.io. package for file I/0.
