I didn't see too much in the archives about this.  I am curious as to why
OutOfMemoryExceptions would be thrown when the operating system can page?

I did not see another Sun mailing list just for the JVM.

The JVM spec says the exception will be thrown if no memory can be allocated
on the stack or the heap.  Perhaps these structures start out with a
pre-defined size on start-up.  If somebody knows of a good book on the JVM,
would like to hear it.
