When I used with tomcat version 3.1.1 some time ago,
I can change the web.xml in the conf dir and it will
take effect for Context, at least of which
the docBase is pointed to webapps/ROOT.
(I was on Linux then).
However, today when I installed version 3.2.1
(ms win2000).
it looks like the conf/web.xml is not used at all.
I have to make a particular web.xml in the dir of
webapps/<the-app-dir>/WEB-INF/
Is this something new?
I am on win2000 prof.
