I would like to add to this.

Please: always *try* to solve problems yourself. The very process of
trying to explain your problem sometimes help you to spot what's going
on so try and go through the process of writing an email to explain
the problem to yourself, try to make sure that you udnerstand exactly
what the problem is.

Scan through the archives to see if you can find similar problems
mentioned, some of us have been here for, oooh, about 100 years (right
Jason?) and we've probably answered most questions that can occur to
newbies.

If you're really stuck then try to avoid posting code, a better thing
to do is to post pseudo code. Again, the process of writing out the
pseudo code for your problem can sometimes help you find out what's
going wrong without needing to ask.

If you do post code remeber that there is a limit to the size of mail
you can send through the list server, also remember that the larger
the post the slower the server will distrib it, so you might have to
wait a bit for an answer.

I *like* helping people out here, but my heart sinks when I see
messages like:

  URGENT: HELP ME

and the questionner just wants me to do his home work for him (and
what's more he's only just asking coz he forgot to do it yet).

Thanks a lot.
