I am really new to JSP technology and I'm having
problems with the unfamiliar dos-like interface of
jdk1.3 please help!!
I have just installed forte ce 2 and jdk 1.3.1
HOW do i set the classpath to my folder which contains
the imported packages?
I tried compiling through the dos prompt but it does
not recognise the javac command (and advise ??)
Any advise whether I should use both the jdk and forte
or just use forte??
Can I just compile a normal *.java file or do I need
to convert it to a package ??
I am trying to compile a simple servlet hello!
It simply says
PrintWriteroject.println("<HTML<BODY>HELLO</BODY></HTML>");
whaen I compile the java file it should produce
hello.class
If i create a link to the hello.class file on my
server
like: <a href="http://path/hello"> hello</>
shouldn't the correct page be displayed in the
browser???!!!
THANKS IN ADVANCE
ps:I am using win 98 is forte as slow for others ??
