I am trying to develop a java program to read a printer port. I bought the book "java cookbook" by ian darwin (oreilly) and downloaded chapter 11 which covers serial/parallel ports. When compliling, I get an error message "javax.comm not found". I wonder if anyone has had this happen. I contacted oreilly, but got the usual polite but no-use reply.
Also, the error messages scroll up so fast in MSDOS, that I can only see the last 4 messages. I got 10 errors in all and hence could not see the first 6.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Ken
