MegaDittos....
We are being lemminged into this @ Mother Merrill. Java believe it or not can be a
dirty word here. Then again, dirty words can be useful. #$%^&*((...If the Techno
Evangelists could take timeout from
applying security patches to the Exchange, and IIS Servers they would see that our
public jsp/servlet app is servicing clients quickly, and efficiently through 2 near
zero defect releases

The simple question is, "Why are you using Windows XP?" Like every other
edition/version of Windows, it will take years for all the security issues
and bugs to be worked out. Take it for granted: Microsoft uses it's user
base to beta test its software. That's why we have SP1, SP2, SPn...to
continually fix the stuff M$ didn't properly test because of the
rush-to-market for $$$. No other software company in the world does this.

"Downgrade" your system to a stable, reliable (is there such a thing from
M$?) release and you probably will not have anymore problems. If you insist
on being on the bleeding edge, suck it up, dude! You are the kind of user
M$ loves!

Cheers!
Mark
