Gotta agree with Christopher here. Initially I didn't really
understand what Gert was asking about (i.e. what he referred to as
"global objects"), and some examples, elaboration, etc. would've been
illustrative. Everybody has a different way of expressing things,
depending on their experience and such, and what seems clear to one
person may be totally opaque to another. Sometimes a slight
difference in phrasing things can make a huge difference.

Also, especially on the Net, one shouldn't take people telling you to
elaborate or pointing you to other resources/forums as being rude. In
fact, in the long run, it is probably the best for all concerned.
